While The Telford Inn is largely well-received, some diners mention that the Sunday roast, while satisfactory, lacks the flair to compete in local culinary competitions. A few guests also find the peak time crowds overwhelming, particularly on weekends when the pub reaches full capacity. Some reviews indicate that seating can become a challenge during these busy hours. Occasionally, complaints arise regarding the young staff’s inexperience, though they are generally noted as friendly and eager to help. Lastly, while outdoor seating is a plus, it can be less comfortable on chilly days, drawing feedback from patrons who prefer cozy indoor dining.
Absolute gem just beyond the beautiful aquaduct. Walked in with two dogs and a tired teenager and were immediately welcomed and put at ease including biscuits for two happy spaniels. Food was gorgeous and all the staff were delightful. Great location means they could cash in on tourism but it had all the ambience of a proper locals pub with the benefit of a warm welcome for the passing trade. Will recommend you to anyone we know heading out from Trevor - thank you for a lovely end to our holiday. Wishing you all the very best for the future. X
A lovely pub right next to the Pontcysyllte viaduct. It has good seating inside and out. Dogs are welcome. Serves great food with good vegetarian options.
This place was perfect! We'd tried another establishment a couple of miles away and they were so rude! So it was lovely to be greeted by such friendly individuals. The food was good, the staff were pleasant and there were several very adorable dogs. All in all a great visit.
The Sunday lunch won't win any awards....however , it was more than enough and enough is plenty. Amazing location. Get there early or else its total chaos 😊. Everyone parks there for the aqueduct....and rightly so Staff were young, but lovely . Dogs allowed, keep em off the furniture. I recommend the doggy ice cream
Lovely pet friendly pub situated at Trevor Basin. Great menu for adults and children. Water bowls supplied for dogs. Very friendly staff who couldn't do anymore to make your visit a good one. Food was gorgeous and portions are a good size. I opted for the grill. Would totally recommend a visit 👌.
Fantastic spot by the Canal just off the Aqueduct. Big garden for outdoor drinks and dining. Spacious bar area with various pub games. Friendly staff. Clean toilets and baby hanging facilities. Very welcoming staff accommodated 5 of us and a baby and a dog. Service with a smile. Food served good hours didn't catch what hours exactly but we were served the full menu at 4/4:30 pm. Great home cooked food. Definitely recommend
